Form Object
There are over 90 species of scorpions in the world
and in Texas we have about 20 of these. Although
most the scorpion types that we have are small and
not life threatening, when they sting they still can
cause a large amount of pain.

Scorpions are not considered insects and instead are
known as arthropods. They have eight legs, front
pincers and a tail where their stinger is. These
creature normally feed on small insects and other
scorpions. They are nocturnal and can be seen at
night if you are shining a black light. During the day
scorpions tend to hide under rocks and in other shady
places.
